mySD is the State of South Dakota’s Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication strategy for sd.gov services. It allows users to login to available state services with one login.
- To create a new South Dakota mySD Login, close the Login Help screen and click on the 'Login/Register using mySD' button.
- Enter the email address you want to use for the mySD login. On the bottom right section of the window, Click the 'Sign up now' link.
- Click the 'Send verification code' button.
- Go to your email and check for a message from 'donotreply@state.sd.us'.
- Copy the code you received in your email and enter it on the mySD page and click 'Verify code'.
- Complete the information on the screens that follow.
- If you are unsure if your have an account, close the Login Help screen and click on the 'Login/Register using mySD' button.
- Enter your email address that you are unsure about and click 'Continue'.
- Enter the password for your email address and click the 'Sign In' button.
- If you receive the message 'We can't seem to find your account', then you will need to create an account to continue. See the 'How do I create a South Dakota mySD Login?' instructions on how to create an account.
- If you receive the message 'Your password is incorrect', then you will need to reset your password to continue. See the 'What if I forgot my password?' instructions on how to reset your password.
- If you have forgotten the password to your account, close the Login Help screen and click on the 'Login/Register using mySD' button.
- Enter the email address that you forgot the password for.
- Select the 'Forgot your password?' link.
- Click the 'Send verification code' button.
- Go to your email and check for a message from 'donotreply@state.sd.us'.
- Copy the code you received in your email and enter it on the mySD page and click 'Verify code'.
- Follow the instructions on the screens that follow.
- If you registered for a new South Dakota mySD Login, but never received the confirmation code email to activate your account, check you junk mail and/or confirm it hasn't been blocked by a spam blocker. A message from donotreply@state.sd.us has been sent.
- If you do not find the email with the confirmation code, complete the steps on the 'How do I create a South Dakota mySD Login?' and 'What if I forgot my password?' sections.

To edit your South Dakota mySD Login profile you will need to login to your account first. You will be able to update the following Login details by selecting the appropriate option by clicking your name in the upper-right of the screen:
- Edit Profile, which is your name.
- Change Address
- Reset Password
- Change Authentication Phone
